Fnality adds former European central bank officials to board roles

Blockchain payments startup Fnality has added several former European central bank officials, Bloomberg reported. Former Bank of England Deputy Governor Jon Cunliffe will serve as chair of the board at Fnality UK, while former Deutsche Bundesbank head of payment systems Jochen Metzger is set to join the supervisory board of Germany-based Fnality Europe as chair. Ron Berndsen, who previously worked on market infrastructure policy at De Nederlandsche Bank, is also joining Fnality Europe’s supervisory board. Fnality is currently backed by major financial institutions including Goldman Sachs, UBS, Santander, Bank of America and Citigroup.
