Former Parafi partner Santiago Santos criticizes effective altruism, likens Anthropic CEO to SBF

Santiago R. Santos, a former Parafi Capital partner and founder of acquisition firm Inversion, criticized effective altruism, or EA, while mentioning both FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, or SBF, and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. In a post on X, Santos said anyone in the crypto industry knows how destructive EA can be, arguing its adherents believe only they can save the world and will pursue their goals regardless of the means even if major harm is caused in the process. Santos added SBF actively lobbied to block decentralization and open finance, and said he is seeing similar behavior around Amodei and his circle.
