Exodus CEO says AI-driven shift in BTC mining power could later reverse

Exodus CEO JP Richardson said some electricity now being diverted from Bitcoin mining to the AI sector could eventually return to mining. In a post on X, Richardson said computing resources naturally flow to where returns are highest. He said AI may take power from mining for now, but if overinvestment in data centers hurts the economics of some facilities, crypto mining could absorb surplus power and infrastructure.
