ETH ETFs outpace BTC inflows as traders use positions for CME futures collateral

September 14, 2026, 6:41 PM
Traders are building spot Ethereum ETF positions to use as collateral for CME futures trades and generate yield, a factor that helps explain relatively strong demand for Ethereum ETFs, Bitfinex Alpha said, according to Wu Blockchain. The report said Ethereum ETFs posted $197 million in net inflows last week and $324 million so far in September, exceeding the $307 million recorded by Bitcoin ETFs. It added that ETH ETFs are showing relatively strong momentum given that assets under management for BTC ETFs are about six times larger than those for ETH ETFs.
