U.S. Senate Democrats plan to hold a closed-door meeting to coordinate their response to the CLARITY Act ahead of a Senate floor vote, Eleanor Terrett, host of Crypto in America, said. Republicans have prepared a roughly 630-page amendment and presented it as a final version, while Democrats are considering a counterproposal centered on tighter ethics rules for public officials and the Trump family’s cryptocurrency businesses. The Senate is also preparing for a cloture vote to advance the bill to the floor.
