Kazakhstan central bank Governor Timur Suleimenov announced plans to establish a national cryptocurrency analytics center to monitor crypto transactions through the central bank’s SupTech supervisory technology platform. The center will analyze data covering fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto transactions, as well as customers, wallets and transaction details. It will also be linked to the National Bank’s anti-fraud center, while banks, law enforcement agencies and licensed crypto service providers are expected to be able to use its verification tools. Kazakhstan’s annual cryptocurrency trading volume is known to be about $10.6 billion.
