Italian authorities are investigating a case in which customer data at crypto neobank Revolut was exposed through the hacking of government agency email accounts, Cointelegraph reported. The hacker is said to have taken over certified Italian PEC email accounts, which carry legal validity, and then requested customer information from Revolut. Revolut said its own systems and databases were not breached, and customer funds were not affected.
