Trader says XRP is too large to invest in at this stage
September 17, 2026, 6:16 PM
Dubai-based crypto trader Royal Kane, who has about 32,000 followers on X, said he would not invest in Ripple’s XRP at this stage, arguing its market capitalization is excessively large at more than $81 billion despite having no clear product or revenue.
Kane added he personally prefers to invest in coins with what he sees as undervalued market caps and strong narratives. He had previously pointed to Solana’s 500-fold rise from its lows in 2021 on the “Ethereum killer” narrative, PEPE’s 1,000-fold gain from its lows in 2024 on the “next SHIB” narrative and community strength, and ZEC’s 70-fold climb from its lows this year on a “next Bitcoin” narrative tied to limited supply and privacy advantages. Kane stressed investors should look for coins with narratives that can capture market attention over the coming years.
