Ethereum developers warn of possible attack on Sepolia test process

Ethereum developers have warned of a potential attack that could disrupt block production on Sepolia during testing for Glamsterdam, CoinDesk reported. According to the report, a hacker could use freely available testnet ETH and a one-time builder identity to win Sepolia block bids and then refuse to submit real transaction data.
Such an attack would not affect funds on the Ethereum mainnet, but it could disrupt testing of Glamsterdam infrastructure and related features. The public Sepolia test is scheduled to begin on Oct. 6, while Hoodi testing is tentatively planned for Oct. 27. The timing of the mainnet rollout has not yet been finalized.
