OpenAI Astra cracks 1941 German cipher, unrelated to BTC wallet security

OpenAI’s next-generation GPT-6 Astra decoded a 1941 German military Enigma message, but that does not mean modern cryptography used in Bitcoin wallets has been broken, according to BeInCrypto. Carter Leffen, who oversees product development and operations at Bloomberg, narrowed the search using the recovered place name Rosenow from the message and decrypted the ciphertext after testing 14.8 million keys over about 10 hours, the report said. The report added that Enigma was a 1930s-era cipher system, making it structurally and technically very different from the modern cryptography used in BTC security.
