Trump says U.S. could reach Iran deal after midterms or send it to 'hell'

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sept. 22 that Washington faces a major decision on Iran and believes a deal could be reached after the U.S. midterm elections. Trump said he is weighing two options: reaching an agreement with Iran or sending it to 'hell.' Trump added that he knows Iran is waiting for the outcome of the U.S. midterm elections, but said he will not let electoral considerations affect his handling of the issue. He also said the U.S. is expanding its military readiness, with ammunition stockpiles far exceeding expected usage and plans to build major new munitions plants, bringing the total in operation to 18. On energy, Trump said oil distribution has reached its highest level since the start of the war and forecast that oil prices could fall sharply to below pre-conflict levels once the Iran conflict ends.
