ESMA to prioritize AI and tokenization oversight across the EU in 2027

The European Securities and Markets Authority plans to make oversight of artificial intelligence and tokenization a supervisory priority across the EU in 2027, Cointelegraph reported. ESMA plans to identify where tokenization is emerging, analyze how companies are using or planning to use AI and tokenization in products and processes that directly affect investors, and conduct initial reviews of selected firms.
