UK Finance revokes Coinbase membership

Coinbase, the largest U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, has been expelled from UK Finance, a major British financial industry association and lobbying group. UK Finance’s board recently notified Coinbase in writing that its membership had been revoked. The move comes amid intensifying competition for influence between traditional finance and the crypto industry, as the digital-asset sector gains a bigger role in the UK’s policymaking process.
