Hack VC co-founder says firm had no direct contact with late former partner for 10 months

Alexander Pack, co-founder of crypto fund manager Hack VC, said the firm had not been in direct contact with former partner Hsin-Ju Chuang for more than 10 months following Chuang’s death. Pack said the company does not know the circumstances or details of Chuang’s death and expressed condolences, while asking the public to respect the privacy of the bereaved family. Separately, in a post published a few days before death, Chuang said that while at Hack VC, Chuang suffered from severe hyperthyroidism linked to Graves’ disease as well as insomnia. Chuang also claimed that despite those health issues, partners at the firm pressured Chuang by saying the industry would shut Chuang out, forcing continued high-intensity work and preparations for events tied to Korea Blockchain Week, or KBW.
