Americas banks cut BTC share of crypto holdings to 44.2% from 75.8%

BTC’s share of crypto exposure at banks in the Americas fell sharply to 44.2% from 75.8%, according to Basel Committee on Banking Supervision data for the second half of 2025 cited by Ledgerinsights. ETH’s share rose to 38.5%, while SOL and XRP accounted for 7.8% and 5.6%, respectively. The report said banks’ overall crypto exposure changed little, but the asset mix shifted.
