U.S. Gen Z, millennials favor crypto and other emerging assets, US Bank survey finds

September 24, 2026, 6:30 AM
A US Bank survey of 5,000 U.S. adults found 48% of Gen Z respondents and 47% of millennials view emerging investments such as cryptocurrencies as more attractive than traditional investments. Interest in crypto did not translate into trust, however. According to the bank’s 2026 wealth survey, 30% of Gen Z respondents and 28% of millennials said their trust in cryptocurrencies had declined over the past year, while 33% and 29%, respectively, said their trust in stocks had increased. The survey also found 76% of Gen Z respondents and 79% of millennials view traditional investments as the most suitable option for building long-term wealth.
