Elliptic launches AI crypto-tracing tool Pulse for frontline police

Blockchain analytics firm Elliptic has launched Pulse, an AI-based tracing tool designed to help frontline investigators immediately analyze cryptocurrency fraud and other crimes. Elliptic said Pulse lets police enter a wallet address or transaction hash and checks it against data from more than 65 blockchains and a database of more than one billion identified addresses. Within seconds, it provides a natural-language risk summary and a recommendation on whether to refer the case. The company said the key goal is to ease a bottleneck that had delayed investigations amid a shortage of specialized tracing personnel. Elliptic also introduced Decode, an AI investigative tool that it said can cut manual tracing time by as much as 50%.
