Bullish and partners form coalition for issuer-backed stock tokens

Bullish, Equiniti, Alpaca, Apex Fintech Solutions and DriveWealth have formed a coalition focused on issuer-sponsored securities tokens, CoinDesk reported. The Issuer Sponsored Token Coalition plans to study technical standards, settlement, custody and how securities can move between existing market infrastructure and blockchain networks. A key focus is issuer-led tokenization, in which stock tokens are linked to a company’s official shareholder registry. The structure is designed to preserve rights including voting, dividends and participation in corporate actions.
