Magic Eden says no platform hack occurred, points to Limit Break smart contract issue

Magic Eden said its platform was not directly attacked in today’s security incident. In a post on X, Magic Eden co-founder Jack said the issue involved a trading protocol and smart contracts developed by Web3 gaming developer Limit Break, adding that Magic Eden stopped using the protocol two years ago. Jack also said the company is discussing additional response measures with Limit Break, including ways to halt asset transfers at the protocol level.
