Bitget said it will resume withdrawal services in stages from Sept. 28 after fixing vulnerabilities and carrying out additional security checks following a security incident on Sept. 25. External security firms Mandiant and SlowMist are supporting the investigation.
The exchange said withdrawals are scheduled to resume at 8:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 28 for BTC, at 8:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 29 for ETH, and at 8:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 30 for USDT. Withdrawals for other tokens, fiat currencies, and P2P will resume at 8:00 a.m. UTC on Oct. 2, provided additional security inspections are completed.
Bitget said it has already taken steps to prevent any further unauthorized asset transfers and user account balances were not affected. Financial losses from the incident will be covered by its user protection fund, while trading and deposit services are operating normally.
