Peter Brandt says XRP's transaction utility alone is hard to tie to higher valuations

Veteran trader Peter Brandt said XRP’s low fees are notable, but its usefulness for transactions alone does not justify a high market valuation.
In a recent Cointelegraph interview, Brandt distinguished Bitcoin as a store-of-value asset and XRP as a transaction-focused cryptocurrency. While Brandt said XRP can be used for efficient, low-cost transfers, he argued that utility as a medium of exchange does not necessarily lead people to hold the asset over the long term, citing the dollar as an example. Brandt added that cryptocurrencies should be evaluated by function, separating transaction assets, store-of-value assets, and platforms such as Ethereum. He did not provide a specific price target for XRP in the interview.
