Bitget resumes BTC withdrawals as 2,042 BTC moves to hot wallet

Bitget has resumed BTC withdrawals. According to on-chain analyst ai_9684xtpa, 2,042.28 BTC ($169 million) has so far been moved to a Bitget hot wallet, while 3,457.72 BTC remains at an on-chain protection fund address. Bitget had said withdrawals would be resumed in phases starting today, with BTC from 8:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 28, ETH from 8:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 29, and USDT from 8:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 30. The exchange had earlier disclosed that an unauthorized outflow of about $351.6 million from some hot wallets occurred on Sept. 25, when the security incident took place.
