Coinbase teases card service tied to physical collectibles

Coinbase said it will soon launch a new service in its mobile app that lets users open packs of physical trading cards and trade them. Under the model, when users draw a digital card on a smartphone, a one-to-one matching physical card is stored in a secure vault. Collectors will be able to hold and trade the cards as digital assets on-chain and within the platform, or choose to have the physical cards delivered.
