Illinois releases draft 0.2% crypto transaction tax, seeks feedback

Illinois has released a draft of the Digital Asset Privilege Tax Act, which would impose a 0.2% tax on cryptocurrency transactions, and said it will gather public feedback through Oct. 30, according to the source. Last month, the crypto industry filed a lawsuit against Illinois seeking to block the implementation of the 0.2% crypto transaction tax.
