Crypto industry spent over $13M on lobbying in first half, with over half for CLARITY Act

The crypto industry spent more than $13 million on lobbying in the first half of this year, including $8 million tied to efforts to pass the CLARITY Act, according to CoinDesk. Coinbase spent about $2.2 million and Kraken about $1 million on lobbying related to the bill, while Digital Currency Group, Jump Crypto and Paradigm also contributed funding. Beyond efforts to pass the CLARITY Act, the industry's lobbying spending also went toward tax legislation and issues related to digital asset mining.
