DogeOS launches public testnet, brings EVM smart contracts to Dogecoin

DogeOS, an application layer for Dogecoin (DOGE), has launched a public testnet and introduced EVM-compatible smart contract functionality to the Dogecoin network, The Block reported. DogeOS is built as a zero-knowledge rollup and uses DOGE as the native token for paying transaction fees.
