No crypto exchange CEOs included on witness list for South Korean parliamentary audit

Digital Asset reported that executives from virtual asset, or digital asset, exchanges were not included on the witness and reference list for the National Assembly’s National Policy Committee audit. The outlet said the omissions came despite major pending issues including large-scale hacks and erroneous payouts. The National Assembly committee held a plenary meeting on Oct. 1 and adopted 18 general witnesses and two reference witnesses for the audit. Lawmakers from the People Power Party walked out in protest over the witness selections.
