Drift opens DFX claims for victims of April hack

The Drift Foundation has begun claim and redemption procedures for DFX recovery tokens for victims of a security incident in April, according to Crypto Briefing. Losses from the hack were estimated at about $295.4 million. Victims can claim 1 DFX for each 1 USDT in verified losses, based on oracle prices at the time of the incident. DFX is a transferable token issued under Solana’s SPL standard and is separate from DRIFT, the protocol’s existing governance token. The claim deadline is Jan. 1, 2028, after which any unclaimed DFX will be burned.
