Walapay raises $4.6M seed round led by Generative Ventures

Walapay, a global payments infrastructure company, has raised $4.6 million in seed funding led by Generative Ventures, according to the company. Commerce Ventures, Polygon, NGC Ventures and Big Brain Holdings also participated. Walapay supports clients in converting idle deposits into yield-generating digital dollar products and, through partnerships with digital asset infrastructure providers, offers custody options tailored to clients’ regulatory and operational requirements. The company said the funding will be used to expand into more licensed jurisdictions, strengthen bank partnerships and hire staff.
