Bitcoin’s realized market capitalization rose 1.2% ($12.8 billion) over the past 30 days to $1.079 trillion as of Oct. 2, roughly doubling from a 0.66% growth rate a month earlier, according to CryptoQuant contributor Axel Adler Jr.
Realized market capitalization is calculated based on the price of each BTC when it last moved on-chain. Adler said the metric kept rising even as BTC saw a modest price pullback after its September gains, indicating continued growth in the market’s aggregate on-chain cost basis.
