October 04, 2026, 11:28 PM
PGPZ, a nonprofit representing the Zcash ecosystem, has registered its first official lobbyist in Washington, D.C., marking the start of a full-scale legislative advocacy effort. PGPZ Executive Director Diviz Pandya has been registered as an official lobbyist and is set to oversee policy engagement with the U.S. Congress on financial privacy, the CLARITY Act, developer protections and anti-money laundering rules. The move shifts policy response functions previously handled by protocol developer ZODL to an independent specialized lobbying organization. PGPZ is also seeking a $750,000 grant from Zcash Community Grants to fund its first year of operations.
