Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has entered a strategic partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB), a digital bank licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain.
Under the partnership, Payward will integrate SGB Net, SGB’s real-time multicurrency clearing network, into its systems. The move will allow institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf region of the Middle East to access 24/7 instant settlement services in U.S. dollars, with additional currencies set to be supported later. SGB also plans to connect to Payward’s institutional platform Kraken Prime to secure digital-asset liquidity and offer cryptocurrency trading services to its clients. The agreement is expected to further strengthen regulated crypto-finance infrastructure for institutions linking the Middle East and Asia.
