Bitcoin whales add $1.22B in October as BTC eyes possible $100K push

October 06, 2026, 9:15 AM
Bitcoin whales, or large holders, accumulated more than 14,335 BTC worth $1.22 billion in October based on on-chain data, a move that well-known crypto trader Ali Martinez said may signal positioning for a rally toward $100,000. Martinez said BTC traded between $83,000 and $86,700 over the past two weeks, while URPD, an on-chain metric showing where investors bought and sold most heavily, indicated a key support zone between $83,300 and $84,600. If that support holds and BTC breaks back above $86,700, there is no comparable supply concentration zone until around $105,000, Martinez said. He added that the whale accumulation appears to reflect that setup, making $100,000 a realistic target if support remains intact and BTC clears resistance at the top of its range.
