HPC CEO says all exchanges should adopt public blockchains within 10 years

Jake Chervinsky, CEO of the Hyperliquid Policy Center, said at Digital Asset Summit 2026 Asia in Singapore that all exchanges, including CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent of the New York Stock Exchange, should adopt public blockchain infrastructure within the next decade to remain competitive.
Chervinsky said Hyperliquid is not an exchange but infrastructure that sits a layer below exchanges in the technology stack. Hyperliquid’s vision, Chervinsky said, is to upgrade the technology so the broader financial system uses public blockchains as its base infrastructure. Chervinsky added the on-chain market is likely to enter the U.S. regulatory framework before long, and said public chains and decentralization offer resilience, security and transparency, while lower costs and faster speeds can improve the traditional financial system.
