Bitcoin has maintained a $83,000-$87,000 range formed over the past two weeks, keeping intact a stair-step uptrend seen over the past several months, according to a CoinDesk analysis.
Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Indian crypto exchange Giottus, said holding $83,000 would mean selling pressure has not been strong enough to push the price back to the previous range of $76,000-$81,500. Subburaj added that if Bitcoin remains consistently below $82,000-$83,000, it could slide to $80,000-$81,500.
Meanwhile, Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, identified $84,000 as a support level and said a break below it could lead to a further decline toward $80,000. According to CoinMarketCap, BTC was trading at $83,960.71, down 2.35%.
