Solana adds x402-based batched USDC settlement for AI agents

Solana has launched a batched settlement feature based on the x402 payment standard with PayAI Network and BlockRunAI, Blockchain.com reported. x402 is a payment standard that lets AI agents or applications automatically pay in cryptocurrency when using digital services such as APIs, data, and AI models. With the feature, AI agents can open a payment channel in USDC, process individual payments off-chain, and settle multiple payments in a single on-chain transaction.
