South Korea’s FSC chief pledges swift legislation for healthy digital asset ecosystem

Lee Eog-weon, chairman of South Korea’s Financial Services Commission, said in opening remarks at a National Assembly audit by the National Policy Committee on Oct. 8 that he would work to accelerate legislation aimed at fostering a healthy digital asset ecosystem, Dailian reported. Lee also said authorities are pushing to ease network separation regulations on the premise of maintaining security, as part of efforts to support innovation in the financial sector and strengthen cybersecurity capabilities.
