OneKey revokes reseller status over Ledger theft case, offers free replacements

Hardware wallet maker OneKey has revoked the official reseller status of Southeast Asian seller CryptoBilis in connection with the theft of Ledger users’ assets and will offer free replacements to customers who bought its products there. OneKey founder Yishi said on X that Ledger had identified unauthorized components inserted inside the affected devices. Yishi added that no OneKey users have reported losses so far, but the company is re-screening all resellers and has suspended new registrations. Yishi had previously raised the possibility that malicious components could be used to steal recovery phrases, while on-chain analysts estimate the losses at about $90 million.
