Hong Kong police warn of WhatsApp account takeover scams after $515K crypto firm loss

More than 150 WhatsApp account takeover scam cases have been reported over the past two weeks, with total losses exceeding HK$15 million, AASTOCKS reported. In a recent case, an employee at a Hong Kong company involved in virtual asset exchange services fell victim to the scam, resulting in losses of more than HK$4 million.
