Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a criminal complaint against BG Limited, the operator of crypto exchange Bitget, over allegations of operating without a license, Cointelegraph reported. The regulator said Bitget provided cryptocurrency trading services in Thailand without authorization from 2022 to 2025 and collected trading fees. It added Bitget promoted its services through a Thai-language website and social media. The Thailand SEC also said it asked the country’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to block access to Bitget’s website, mobile app and other channels starting Dec. 5.
