Dominion, a Solana-based tokenized silver project, announced it is shutting down after a security incident in September led to the theft and sell-off of a large amount of SILV tokens, collapsing liquidity. The project said the attack also caused losses to operating funds and damaged the market structure, leaving the capital needed to rebuild beyond its remaining resources. Dominion said it will direct most of its remaining liquidity to a reimbursement program and allow eligible users who held SILV before the attack to redeem and liquidate their tokens at $63 each. SILV is a token designed to be backed one-to-one by physical silver, with each token representing one troy ounce of silver.

The Cardano Foundation said it has launched CIP-0113, a programmable token standard for the Cardano mainnet that lets issuers embed compliance features directly into tokens. Issuers of regulated assets such as stablecoins, tokenized funds, and bonds can use the standard to set rules for KYC and AML checks, sanctions screening, asset freezes and seizures, and transfer restrictions within the token itself. The foundation said the standard can be applied without a separate hard fork, while issuers can choose modular rules, write their own, and update them as regulations change.

U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig said in a CNBC interview that under the crypto regulatory framework being prepared by the CFTC, leveraged trading will be allowed only on federally regulated crypto exchanges. Selig added that leverage of up to 100x, seen on offshore exchanges, has never been permitted in the United States and will not be allowed under the new framework. The CFTC had previously indicated it would limit excessive leverage in the U.S. crypto derivatives market.

An anonymous trader’s wallet was likely hacked five hours ago, with about $4 million in assets stolen, according to on-chain analyst EmberCN. The stolen assets totaled nine tokens, including 1.43 million BP worth $1.77 million, 13.96 million MASCOIN worth $1.55 million, and 3.7 million CASHCAT worth $510,000. A CoinNess analysis found the hacker sold the stolen assets, swapped them into ETH, BNB and SOL, and then laundered the funds through Privacy Cash and Chainflip.

Jack Yi, founder of crypto-focused investment firm LD Capital, said Bitcoin is still holding key support levels while altcoins have entered a broader correction phase. Yi said BTC had been seen as vulnerable to a pullback after rising to $86,000 about a month ago, adding that even in a bull market, prices spend most of the time moving sideways before surging in certain stretches or undergoing a natural correction.
