Iran is fully prepared for both diplomacy and confrontation, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said on May 3 during a meeting with foreign diplomats in Tehran. He stated that Iran had discussed its proposal to end the war and aggression it attributes to the U.S. and Israel. Gharibabadi noted that Iran has already submitted a plan through Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator, to permanently end the conflict. He emphasized that the ball is now in the U.S.'s court, and it is up to Washington to choose between a diplomatic path or continued confrontation. While Iran is prepared for both scenarios to protect its national interests and security, Gharibabadi added that the country remains pessimistic and does not trust the U.S. or its diplomatic sincerity.
