Iran is set to resume stock market trading on May 19 after halting operations amid military conflict with the U.S. and Israel, according to a report from the state-run IRNA news agency on May 16. Hamid Yari, Deputy Supervisor of Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization, stated that the initial suspension was a measure to protect shareholder assets, prevent panic selling, and foster a more transparent pricing environment. He added that all sectors of the capital market are expected to resume normal operations with the reopening.
