Apple to add AI writing tools, new shortcut features to iOS 27

Apple (AAPL) is set to integrate a suite of artificial intelligence features into its next-generation operating systems for iPhone and iPad, aiming to close the functionality gap with its competitors. According to sources, the new capabilities in iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 will include an AI-powered writing tool, a feature for creating system shortcuts using natural language, and custom wallpaper generation. Apple is expected to unveil the new operating systems at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, with a full public release scheduled for September.
