Spot Bitcoin ETF options could launch in Q1 2025, analyst says

Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart shared on X that spot Bitcoin ETF options may start trading in the first quarter of 2025. However, he noted that, unlike the U.S. SEC, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) do not have set deadlines for paperwork processing, which could delay the launch. Last month, the SEC approved spot Bitcoin ETF options for listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).
