Cardano founder likens Ethereum to BlackBerry, predicts it could disappear within 15 years

During a recent ask me anything (AMA) session, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson predicted that Ethereum may not survive the next 10 to 15 years, U.Today reported. He likened Ethereum to BlackBerry, a once-dominant tech giant that lost relevance due to its inability to adapt.
Hoskinson criticized Ethereum’s technical foundation, pointing to its flawed accounting model, virtual machine and consensus mechanism. He also described Ethereum’s layer-2 networks as “parasitic,” claiming they drain value from the main chain. As Ethereum lacks a strong on-chain governance system to resolve its issues, he believes users will eventually migrate to other platforms.
According to CoinMarketCap, ETH is trading at $1,774.25, down 1.45% over the past 24 hours.
