Abu Dhabi’s support

Earlier, it was revealed that Neowiz Partners became a part of the Innovation Programme offered by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This program offers incentives to various businesses operating in high-growth areas like financial services and technology.

Diverse portfolio

Under its new name, Neowiz Partners aims to build a diverse portfolio of investments in promising companies committed to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. This strategic move is intended to foster future growth and seize the potential offered by these innovative sectors.

Neowiz Partners’ global headquarters, known as H-Lab, located in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), will oversee investment and management related to its blockchain businesses. Meanwhile, the operations of these blockchain projects will continue to be managed by NEOPIN, a subsidiary of H-Lab and a CeDeFi protocol that operates as a one-stop solution for those seeking a non-custodial wallet.

Earlier reports highlighted NEOPIN’s achievement in launching Korea’s first liquid staking products for ETH. This approach enables users to deposit their cryptocurrencies into a staking pool and receive liquidity provider tokens in return. These tokens can then be deposited again to generate additional yields.

On the occasion of this renaming, Neowiz Partners will establish itself as a dedicated investment company, while H-Lab will concentrate on serving the blockchain industry and associated ventures.

Bitget Introduces Innovative MPC Wallet for Enhanced Security

Bitget Introduces Innovative MPC Wallet for Enhanced SecurityBitget, the Seychelles-registered crypto derivatives platform, has unveiled a cutting-edge security and key management feature that could potentially be a game changer in terms of the way users safeguard their assets.Photo by Shubham’s Web3 on UnsplashIntroducing Multi-Party Computation (MPC)As confirmed via a press release on Tuesday, the Bitget team has introduced the Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallet service to its Bitget Wallet, a relatively new solution in the realm of cryptocurrency security. This development comes on the heels of the launch of the account abstraction wallet service powered by the Ethereum scaling protocol Starknet in July. The introduction of the MPC wallet could well be a paradigm shift relative to crypto security as it leverages a distributed key generation mechanism, distributing multiple key shares to various locations under the control of different parties. This approach introduces a robust process, demanding that the owners of these distributed private key shares collectively sign and authorize transactions.Notably, the MPC wallet shatters the conventional industry practice of relying on users to store or memorize mnemonic phrases and private keys. In a departure from the current norm, this wallet streamlines the user experience by eliminating the need for mnemonics and instead implementing a password-based authentication method provided by Bitget, effectively eliminating the reliance on a single-point private key.Unlocking MPC technologyBitget’s vision with the MPC wallet is to deliver a user experience reminiscent of traditional Web2 products and services. From a technical standpoint, the MPC wallet is rooted in a threshold signature scheme, employing secure large prime numbers to underpin its security architecture. This consumer-oriented development mandates a minimum number for signature authorization, requiring two-thirds of the total key shares to complete the signature necessary for authorizing a transaction. Notably, the final key share finds secure refuge on a backup cloud server, contributing to a highly decentralized and secure ecosystem. Moreover, the MPC wallet offers a robust sharing mechanism that automatically invalidates key shares on older devices when new devices are integrated. This innovative feature substantially mitigates the risk of key shares being compromised on outdated or forgotten devices, reinforcing user confidence and security.Trending towards crypto self-custodyBitget’s introduction of the MPC wallet underscores the growing significance of self-custody in the cryptocurrency space. In the wake of high-profile failures and security breaches on centralized exchanges, such as FTX, self-custody has emerged as a paramount consideration for cryptocurrency enthusiasts and investors. As a testament to this trend, in March 2023, Ledger, a prominent hardware wallet manufacturer, secured $109 million in funding to bolster hardware production and develop novel products, underlining the increasing demand for secure and user-centric solutions in the crypto world.Bitget Wallet is a rebrand of the wallet produced by BitKeep, a Singapore-based project which Bitget acquired earlier this year. The crypto platform has been working on various initiatives that go some way towards reassuring customers. It had previously introduced proof of reserves reporting. While this system doesn’t provide the whole picture, proof of reserves does go some way in reassuring customers that their funds are still held by the platform and not loaned out or otherwise removed from the platform.

SafePal Delves Into Korean Market Through Klaytn Partnership

SafePal Delves Into Korean Market Through Klaytn PartnershipThe Seychelles-based team behind non-custodial digital asset wallet provider, SafePal, has made its first attempt at conquering the Korean market through a partnership with South Korean enterprise blockchain, Klaytn. The collaboration will see the wallet provider support digital assets native to the Klaytn blockchain network. For Klaytn ecosystem users, it also means that they can access in excess of one hundred blockchains, which are already supported by SafePal’s non-custodial wallet. Both entities articulated their thoughts relative to the partnership, with SafePal doing so via a blog post published late last week. Meanwhile, the Klaytn project team expanded on the development in a post to its website on Tuesday.Photo by Mathew Schwartz on UnsplashKorean expansionKlaytn-native digital assets will be supported via SafePal’s mobile app, hardware wallet and its browser extension-based wallet. SafePal acknowledges the leading position that the Klaytn network takes in Korea, relative to the metaverse, blockchain gaming and other Web3 verticals. While SafePal already has 10 million users, this move demonstrates that it has plans on expanding that user-base to incorporate millions more, in this case Korea-based Klaytn network users.Alluding to that Korean expansion, Veronica Wong, Co-Founder and CEO of SafePal stated: “Klaytn is a leading blockchain in Korea for Web3 and DeFi, so this partnership made perfect sense, as we want users to access exciting opportunities in all established ecosystems globally.”Bringing Klaytn dApps to SafePal usersThe Klaytn project team is viewing the hook-up in the same manner. In its announcement it outlines that the collaboration can serve its purpose in “bringing in Klaytn’s next 10 million users with SafePal.” The partnership also serves to bring leading Klaytn dApps to that new user-base of 10 million. That includes on-chain instant swap protocol, Klayswap, blockchain play-to-earn game DeFi Kingdoms, Korean NFT marketplace Pala, leveraged yield farming project, Kleva Protocol and DEX aggregator Swapscanner.Conceived by the dominant messaging app provider in Korea, KAKAO, in 2018, the development of the Klaytn blockchain is now guided by the Klaytn Foundation. The project has set out a governance roadmap that will see the project achieve decentralization later this year.SafePal growth trajectorySafePal has been hitting its numbers when it comes to expanding its user base. Over the course of the past year, it has grown its user-base from 8 to 10 million. Its support for 100 blockchains results in overall support for in excess of 200,000 token types, including NFTs. That growth strategy belies further comments that Wong made relative to this latest collaboration:“While the self-custody offered by Web3 and DeFi is increasingly important amidst growing concerns about traditional financial systems, adoption is still hindered by language and geographical barriers. Klaytn is a leading blockchain in Korea for Web3 and DeFi, so this partnership made perfect sense, as we want users to access exciting opportunities in all established ecosystems globally.”With no let up in its growth strategy, SafePal followed up on Friday with an announcement that it had integrated the recently launched low latency, high throughput layer one SUI network and its native token, $SUI.

BitMEX Co-Founder Forecasts $750K to $1 Million Bitcoin Price by 2026

BitMEX Co-Founder Forecasts $750K to $1 Million Bitcoin Price by 2026In a recent interview with YouTuber Tom Bilyeu, Arthur Hayes, Co-Founder of the Seychelles-registered cryptocurrency exchange and derivative trading platform BitMEX, has expressed his bullish outlook on Bitcoin’s future price, projecting a valuation of $750,000 to $1 million for the leading cryptocurrency by the year 2026.Photo by Kanchanara on UnsplashFinite supply to drive price dynamicHayes’ optimism is rooted in several factors that he believes will shape the next Bitcoin cycle. One of the key factors driving Hayes’ projection is Bitcoin’s limited supply. With a maximum cap of 21 million coins, Bitcoin’s scarcity is expected to propel the unit price of the asset in tandem with growing demand as more investors seek to secure a piece of this finite resource. The idea that Bitcoin’s scarcity will drive its value higher has been a fundamental tenet of the cryptocurrency since its inception. In 2010 the leading cryptocurrency’s pseudonymous Founder stated: “When someone tries to buy all the world’s supply of a scarce asset, the more they buy the higher the price goes.”ETF potentialHayes also highlighted the potential for Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to become available in major regulated markets. The introduction of Bitcoin ETFs could attract institutional investors and provide a more accessible way for the broader public to invest in Bitcoin, further boosting its demand. However, Hayes also speculates about the risks associated with a Bitcoin ETF. He stated: “Are we inviting in something that’s going to fundamentally change what Bitcoin is?”Geopolitical factorsGeopolitical uncertainty plays a significant role in Hayes’ forecast also. As global economic and political instability persists, investors may turn to Bitcoin and other alternative assets as hedges against traditional financial instruments. However, it’s important to note that Hayes contextualized his Bitcoin price prediction within a larger bullish macroeconomic environment. From his perspective the surge in asset prices will not be limited to cryptocurrencies alone. He anticipates a substantial boom in financial markets, with not only Bitcoin but also traditional assets like stocks experiencing substantial price growth.Hayes stated: “I think it will be the biggest boom in financial markets we have ever seen in human history. Bitcoin will have a ridiculous price, Nasdaq will have a ridiculous price, S&P will have a ridiculous price.”Known for his thoughtful and insightful writings on the subject area, Hayes wrote in July that he believes that Bitcoin will be the currency of choice when it comes to the growing need for artificial intelligence (AI) to work directly with a means of payment.$1 million BTC by 2026While Hayes’ projection of a $1 million Bitcoin price by 2026 may seem ambitious, his short-term predictions are more moderate. He foresees Bitcoin trading in the $30,000 range for the current year. Building upon that thesis, he maintains that the possibility exists of it reaching $70,000 by 2024.This aligns with the views of other industry analysts who anticipate challenges and headwinds in the near term. There’s little doubt that recent platform failures and speculation with regard to the health of other leading crypto platforms have been retarding market performance more recently. While the road ahead may hold fluctuations and challenges, many experts believe that Bitcoin’s long-term trajectory remains promising, driven by its unique attributes and the changing dynamics of global finance.
