South Korean parliament fails to convene plenary session on crypto taxation

The South Korean National Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee has failed to convene its plenary session scheduled for Nov. 29 due to disagreements between the ruling and opposition parties, according to News1. The session was expected to discuss changes to tax laws, including postponing taxes on virtual assets, easing inheritance tax and adjusting the taxation of dividend income. While the ruling party suggested advancing 11 non-contentious tax bills, the opposition party reportedly rejected this approach.
