Vitalik Buterin proposes 5x gas cost hike for inefficient computations

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed an idea to increase the Ethereum block gas limit fivefold while simultaneously raising the gas cost for inefficient computations by the same factor. The proposal aims to directly improve network scalability and incentivize more efficient use of network resources.
