An agreement between the United States and Iran is imminent, with good news expected from both sides shortly, according to a source. The source added that a final deal was expected to be reached by the night of April 7. This comes amid a diplomatic push by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who has proposed a two-week de-escalation plan. Sharif previously said on social media that he expects tangible results soon from strong diplomatic efforts to peacefully end the war in the Middle East. China Central Television (CCTV) reported that Sharif asked President Donald Trump to extend a "final deadline" by two weeks to provide space for the diplomatic process. In parallel, he requested that Iran open the Strait of Hormuz for the same two-week period as a gesture of goodwill.
